I was invited, even though I was going to go either way, to the Volleyball game yesterday. Our girls beat SPU! That's what I'm talking about. It was weird though in that watching the game yesterday it finally hit me that I'm going to be a junior. In fact, the two girls in the photo (Jessica & Kate) are both my year. We are juniors.
Check out other photos from yesterday afternoon here: Flickr.
day 336. [quadstock]
With the end of the year come the ending events. Tonight Fields/Schoenfeldt put on a recreation of Woodstock aka Quadstock. I enjoyed it :)
day 334. [awkward lunch]
I had a good lunch with good people. Good friends. Awkward friends. It was a quiet lunch. It was interesting. Lunch.
day 333. [rotc]
I hope the ladies can understand that this photo was just too funny. I would have picked a group shot, but come on, this shot was funny.
Thank you to Sarah for allowing me the opportunity to take the Air Force ROTC photo for the Class of 2013. These are some of our future leaders in air guys ...

day 332. [homework sesh]
This evening Vivien, Evan, and I had a "homework session." Quotes around homework session because it ended up becoming a picture party at one point with a nap somewhere in there. Can't forget the falsetto duet between Evan and me, haha.
Oh dead week, how you kill all of the college students around the world. Just once, can you be forgiving to the college students around the world? Just once!? O_O

day 331. [krazy kritter]
Last real day of Easter Break and I had dinner with Ian, like I did the other days :)
There's not much else to say other than the fact that The Commons has these drinks called "Krazy Kritters" and they are chalk full of Vitamins ... for kids! They were delicious!

day 330. [trying]
It was too sunny to really try to do a bunch of my homework. I did get some done though! The most important thing right now is that I tried my best to get my work done ... :D
day 329. [night adventure]
I'm a sophomore. Sophomore in College, NOT High School.
I'm 20 years old. No longer a teenager.
Time has gone by so fast. Life has changed a lot this last year.
As this school year comes to an end though, I can't help but thank everyone who has made this year so special. I had a really rough freshman year where I lived a life that was not of me. I made some friends last year that I shouldn't have been friends with. I did a lot of things that cost me my faith and who I was. That was different this year though because the people that have walked into my life are some of the most solid people I have ever met. :)
Tonight though, as the University of Portland is on Easter Break, a few of those good friends and I went for a walk to a park where we found ourselves acting like we were five or something. It was definitely worth it!

day 328. [rugged]
It's Easter Break and most people are off campus back in their homes for the weekend. There are a few of us who are fortunate enough to stay on campus during this weekend, haha. I had dinner this evening with my buddy Ian, who I've taken photos of if you're not aware.
I've seriously had an itch to do some photos of him longboarding because those were the first set of photos of him that I ever took last year as freshmen. Well ... that's what I did!! Our good friend Vivien joined us too once she came back from Thai Ginger!
To check out other shots, check out my flickr!

day 327. [scripture]
Ephesians 4:1
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
----------
I get it, God. I haven't been the most obedient the last few weeks. I've struggled in all areas of my life. Doing my devos today was like a divine slap to the face. It hurt in the best way possible.
Scripture definitely speaks.

day 326. [death]
So I'm honestly in that final stretch of the semester and this is how I feel. If you want a better description, or even metaphor/analogy of how I feel this is what I'm trying to say through my photo :)
Homework = Velociraptor (Look at those big claws!)
Gohan = Me
Therefore, if we piece it together: The Velociraptor is going to eat Gohan. In other words, my homework is eating me -_-

day 325. [stible]
First and for most, I have 40 days left and only 11.0% more to go! Anyways, tonight was the last Stible Buddy (Bible Study) for the year in Villa. To kick it off we had Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches; there was even Nutella :)
It was a good way to end the last Stible Buddy of the year. I'm super excited for Stible next year because I'm going to be leading it :D

day 324. [pilots]
Our Pilots know how to strut their stuff be it on the court, the field, or even the race course. What many people don't know is that ... Our Pilots have talent!
This evening was the 2nd Annual "Pilots Got Talent?" competition. I didn't get to go last year so I was excited to go this year. I guess last year the Girls' Soccer team won, only to lose to the Mens' Basketball team. I liked the Girls' act WAY better :)
Click here to see more photos of the Men's Cross Country Team, Women's Soccer, and Men's Basketball!

day 323. [relay for life]
Today at the University of Portland we are celebrating Relay for Life! Being on Committee my day started at 9:30 AM this morning with the first lap taking place at noon. It was seriously a long day of walking and taking photos for the event, but as I head to bed I can't help but think how worth it it was! My feet will kill me tomorrow, but I won't think twice about it when I realize how much more pain and suffering a cancer patient goes through.
So with that, why do you relay?
I relay because it is in memory of those people who have been in my life that have been effected by cancer.
PS. For other photos from today check out my link to my flickr :)
(If you know people in the album, be sure to pass this link on to them too!)

day 322. [bake off]
The Chemistry Department Club had a bake off today! It was delicious! These cupcakes you're looking at were made by our very own Brian Vu. They were SO good. Mmmmmmm :)
day 321. [arts & crafts]
Although the activity we did for English was actually helpful, it was the most frustrating thing to write an 8 page rough draft to only cut it up and put it back together. Let me tell you, my parents do not pay the money they pay for me to turn my essay into an arts and craft project -_-
day 320. [sushi land]
On Monday I ended up having lunch with Ashley & Jordan. Ashley had sushi and it had me craving sushi really bad, haha. So today I went out to dinner with Ashley, Jordan, Lindsey, Kyle, Drew, and Becca to Sushi Land. I'm pretty sure that the last time I was there was back in the summer when I went with Melanie. It was still just as good as last time :)
day 319. [project educate]
My buddy Kellen put on an event yesterday night called Project Educate. His old roommate's band, Isaac, provided the music for the whole night. Awesome job :)
day 318. [seven o'clock]
When seven o'clock looks like this, you can only imagine how much motivation I've lost to do any homework or even focus for that matter. Gah, summer needs to hurry up and happen.
28 days ...
One formal lab report ...
One presentation ...
Two exams ...
Four finals ...
LET'S DO THIS!!

day 317. [shipstad]
My pre-frosh left today and I was a little sad to see them go because I much enjoyed my pre-frosh! Shout out to cafeinatedchaos for saying she'll keep an eye out for my pre-frosh Shane :)
Anyways, ha. I was able to do the All Hall Photo for Shipstad (Thank you to Heather for asking me and giving me the opportunity to do this). Yeah, I got to hang out with Shipstad and it was a lot of fun. There's definitely a part of me that still wishes I could have lived there, but we all know it was for the best ;)
PS. Check out my flickr for some of the other Shipstad shots.

day 316. [pre-frosh]
It's Weekend on the Bluff. A time where MANY pre-frosh are roaming around the campus with their hosts that they've been assigned too. I hosted a pre-frosh last year who I happen to be good friends with this year. I was fortunate enough to host again this year. I was expecting ONE pre-frosh and found that I was assigned THREE pre-frosh.
It was awesome though and they were all great guys. I'm glad that I got the three that I did!
----------
(If my pre-frosh end up reading this ...)
Shane: Good luck at WSU next year. It was definitely fun having you for the weekend. Still wish you could be here next year!
Preston: Good luck at BYU next year. Again, it was fun having you for the weekend. I still can't believe that you and Shane live so close to me!
Willie: Good luck choosing the school you go to. I would really love it if you chose UP because, as the three of you experienced, it's an awesome school with great community!
----------
To the three of you guys: I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your senior year and the summer before college! Wishing you three the best :)

day 315. [long boarding]
When the sun comes out in Portland, so do the college students at the University of Portland! Seriously though, it was SUCH a gorgeous day today. I ended up hanging out with one of the freshman that I actually like - Anthony Bedoy.
---------
Before I move on, I guess it's time to make a confession towards my previous statement. I've never liked the Class of 2010 as a whole. Don't know why. Because of that though, I definitely have my people from that class that I truly do like and enjoy being around. Anthony is definitely amongst that group :)
----------
Anyways, we just did some long boarding shots. If you want to see some of the other shots check out my flickr.

day 314. [muggin']
So, tonight was another Christie Pub. We had one last semester in which I was supposed to perform for that one, ha. Anyways, Ben Helms, my Hall Director, bought me one of the mugs from tonight. Let me tell you, I really like mugs, and if you can't see in the picture, I have a Spiderman Mug as well as the Mug that I got back at a Pilots After Dark event back in the fall. :)
day 313. [georgia]
I love eating with my friends, but let's be honest - some of my friends would not want to each a meal with some of my other friends, haha. That's why this semester I got into the habit of eating a certain meal with a certain person or group of people. It's been absolutely amazing getting to do this because it's an opportunity to just get to hang out with good company over a good meal.
If you're wondering, Wednesday's this last semester have been lunch time with Georgia! :)

day 312. [barefoot]
Today was TOMs day, which meant that people shouldn't have been wearing shoes. My bad -_- ... I was already late to class and had to get their super fast, so I put on a pair of shoes, haha. But I did get some photos of me and a few other people with their shoes off exposing their feet :)
day 311. [late nights]
When you're stressing out and feel like wits end, a social support group is the best way to make things feel so much better. I hung out with Keenan and Vivien as they wrote their Ethics papers. I didn't need to be up until 3 with them, but it was definitely worth it, haha!
day 310. [afternoon delight]
I got back from a weekend of not really doing much homework and a morning at chuch, which was much needed. I was then greeted by such an awesome afternoon delight ... -_-
day 309. [water polo]
I have a handful of favorite freshmen from the Class of 2014. I went to watch one of my favorite freshman (Walker Ross) play some Water Polo today in a tournament. I also got to watch him play with one of my other favorite freshman, also his girlfriend, Meme Ranken!!
Way to go today UP Water Polo!!

day 308. [sam wegman]
Went to go see/hear some good music this evening. It was definitely a nice and relaxing way to end such a high strung/stressful week. Very nice and relaxing :)
