Today I had the opportunity to finish up Jordan's senior photos. Now you guys know who this mystery senior was, ha. I know, nothing special, but hey I wanted to keep her a secret until I finished up her photos.
The main goal today with finishing up her senior photos was getting the volleyball ones done. You can check out what that one looks like if you go to my flickr account. If you look at the volleyball one you'll see that her face is lit up despite the fact that we were shooting in direct sunlight. That's because I ended up making a reflector. You see, yesterday we had a ton of problems with lighting during the volleyball net portion of her photos. Luckily, with a reflector and an adjusted exposure her photos came out really well this time.
I won't lie to you, by the way, today wasn't all that great of a day. It was more on the chill side, I probably could have started packing for school, but you know me - [and every other kid heading back to college] I wait until the last minute, haha.
I did hang out with my brother though today, which was awesome. We went to the Christian bookstore to get my ring fitted. While there I saw Poggie and Courtney. I love them both :)
I actually had a lot of fun hanging out with my brother. For those that don't know, we're ten years apart. Despite the distance in age, we are actually really close :D
I had a good phone date with Calley today! We talked about high school camp and how God rocked me. Seriously, give my blogs a read to get a glimpse of how God moved through me. I'm in the process of writing for my personal blog, so I'll link that when those blogs are done.
Afterwards though I went over to the house that Kristen was house sitting for. While there Greg, Kristen, and I watched Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. It's such a good movie, but it's definitely not House of Ross appropriate. I'm surprised that Greg actually ended up liking the movie.
Anyways, not to end the blog, I'm heading to bed. I have donuts and devo's to head tomorrow. On top of that I have a photography competition to judge! Night guys :)

day 065. [jessica]
Disclaimer: Sorry if my posts seem to be a little lackluster. That goes for the pictures as well. I didn't realize how exhausted I really got from a whole week of Kid's Camp. Trust me though, once I get over the exhaustion things should get back to normal!
Moving on to what I did today. Obviously I went to church, which was to my surprise ... shocking, haha. If you read the Remember When's you'll know that there's one remember when in particular that scared the crap out of me. Well, yesterday was Janelle's first sermon as the Associate Pastor at Living Word. She managed to use that story in her message. Luckily, people thought it was more funny than alarming seeing as most of those leaders were Living Word Leaders!
I'm just glad that she has a sense of humor towards it. I mean, it was done and there's nothing we can do about it other than joke around about it, haha.
I went home after church, but what I did, I normally don't do. So I normally don't attend worship practice, but since I had to give Erika a ride there, I decided that I might as well stay and take some photos, which I obviously did. What I loved the most was Jessica was leading worship for both Jr. High and High School Youth Group.
If you don't know Jessica, you're missing out. She's such an awesome person. She is truly someone who lives her life for God. It's been amazing getting to know her since the end of my Junior year of high school. It was so much fun to see her yesterday! Wish I could have hung out with everyone at Applebee's yesterday.
Anyways, Youth Group was yet another good one. We talked about homosexuality and how as Christians we should respond to that. It was something I feel people needed to hear whether or not they were ready to hear it. Like Angel said last night, sometimes we are called to feel uncomfortable.
Afterwards, instead of going to Applebee's with everyone else, I just decided to go over to the Ross' place and watch Kate Plus 8 with Kristen. I know, I hung out with Kristen after having spent a whole week with her at Kid's Camp. This was different though because we weren't with kids, it was just us. Honestly though, we were still kind of in Kid's Camp mode, haha. I honestly wish we could hang out more this summer, but we're both so busy! When Nate, Danny, Isaac, and Levi came home from Wild Waves I stayed there for a bit to watch some X-Games, which to my surprise was actually fun to watch.
PS. Seriously though, get to know Jessica if you don't already know her. She's awesome and she has some awesome words of wisdom in her 19 year old brain :)
If only she liked robots instead of dinosaurs, then she'd be pretty close to perfect ;)

day 008. [home]
Lo and behold ... The next place my friends and I went was - Oak Harbor! I'm so glad that we're here. The initial reason why we came up to here was because I needed to get my other DSLR, ha. Long story short - ask me :)
So when we got here we first ended up playing some Mario Kart after we all took our showers, separately. I also surprised Steven by being his birthday present! It was actually a lot of fun playing Mario Kart with more than just Melanie. Although the thing is, having the TV divided into 4 parts was kind of confusing and a little different.
After that Keenan, Melanie, and I went out to 1-2-3 Thai (saw some old band-mates there) to get some lunch food because we were obviously hungry. Then I took them to a park that I grew up playing on as well as taking them on a tour around my elementary school. Memories man! It was a lot of fun just filling them in on the 5-10 year old Rick!! :D
Then we went to my middle school which happened to be right next to Blockbuster where I rented the last two discs of Glee. While at Blockbuster I also bought three movies: I Love You Beth Cooper, 500 Days of Summer, and UP! I took them on a tour of my middle school too.
If you're wondering - I didn't take them to my high school because we just went to my house seeing as my brother was going to take us out to eat. Seeing as we ate though, we were kind of still full, so we all just got dessert because the three of us weren't all that hungry from the Thai.
Afterwards, I dropped my brother off at the house so that the three of us could go out and take some pictures of the sky at West Beach. If there is one thing I miss for sure about living in Oak Harbor is that the sunsets are just amazing. I then decided to go visit a friend on a surprise visit :)
I haven't seen Kristen since Christmas break, so it was a lot of fun getting to see her and just catching up for that little bit we were there. I'll definitely be needing to catch up with her when I'm home for the summer ... for good!
Now the three of us are catching me up on episodes 9-13 of Glee!! YIPEE!!
